Thermal coating is a universally applicable surface coating method, in which a usually powder or wire-shaped coating material with high thermal and / or kinetic energy is spun onto a component surface and forms a layer there. With a variety of available process variants, a wide range of materials such as metals and ceramics, as well as high-performance polymers can be processed into technical coatings. The layer thicknesses range from approx. 30 μm up to several millimeters.
